iPhone v1.1.2 Jailbreak & AppTapp Installation Guide
Requirements:
1.You will need an active WiFi connection
for your iPhone to perform this procedure.
2.You will need iTunes 7.5 (Download
Here)
Steps:
1.Download the
iPhone 1.1.1 firmware/software package, and the
iPhone 1.1.2 firmware/software package, and after it is downloaded, make
sure it still has the extension .ipsw and not .zip. Rename it if necessary (the
correct name is iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ipsw,
iPhone1,1_1.1.2_3B48b_Restore.ipsw).
2.Launch iTunes if it isn’t open.
3.Put iPhone in recovery mode (hold the sleep and home [on the top of the iPhone]
buttons simultaneously until the screen goes blank, then release the sleep
button but keep holding the home button until you receive a message in iTunes
stating “iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode”
4.Do not restore the iPhone at this
point
5.In iTunes, select your iPhone from the left-hand pane (source list) and click
the “Summary” tab. If you are using a Mac, Hold down the OPTION key then click
“Restore.” If you are on a Windows system, Hold down the SHIFT key then click
“Restore.” Select the 1.1.1 package you just downloaded. You’ll receive the
error message “1015″ indicating a failure to restore — this is normal.
6.Download the
iTunes 1.1.2 jailbreak folder from Conceited Software.
7.If you are using a Mac, double-click jailbreak.jar in the file you just
downloaded. If you are on a Windows system, double-click the file windows.bat.
Click the “Boot from Recovery” button. This should force the iPhone out of
recovery mode.
8.This process can take several minutes or can be instant. In some cases, the phone will automatically reboot and go to the “Activate iPhone” screen. In other cases, the progress bar never finishes, but the proper process occurs, and the iPhone screen goes completely black with the device powering off. At this point, you might need to hold down the power button for several seconds until the device restarts. If 10 or minutes have gone by and nothing has happened (the recovery mode screen, with an iTunes icon and a USB cable, is still displayed on your iPhone), try disconnecting your iPhone and reconnecting it and trying again, or restart your computer and trying again.
9.Launch iTunes if it is not open. You
will no see the “Waiting for Activation” screen, but your iPhone won’t activate.
10.Take your iPhone out of your cradle and you need to make sure you have the
sim card that you got with the phone in the device.
11.Slide to make emergency call. Press “*#307#”. It will start ringing.
12.Clear all the numbers by pressing “x”.
Enter “0″, press “call”, than press “answer”.
13.Press “Hold”, than it will ring again. Press “Decline”. It will show you the
contact list.
14.Add a new contact. Choose to “add new URL”. Enter “prefs:”. Add one more home url, this time enter “jailbreakme.com”. Save all the informations.
15.Click the “home page”, it will pop up the settings now. Connect to the Wi-Fi connections that you wish for. (same IP range with notebook computer. how to do it? Just make sure iPhone and notebook are connected with same Wi-Fi AP station.). Also, make sure it will not go to sleep mode by going into General > Auto Lock > Never.
16.Press home button to go back to the “activate iPhone” screen. Slide for emergency, and press “0″ to call. Answer the call than hold the call. It will ring again. Than, press decline and you will go back to contact list.
17.Select the contact we created in Step 8. This time, press the home that is “http://jailbreakme.com” to let the Safari open it. Scroll down and choose to install the AppSnapp.
18.Your Safari will crash and go back to the “Activate iPhone” screen. Do not touch the iPhone or any other buttons now.
19.Once this has done it will reboot
itself twice and instead of saying slide for emergency it will say slide to
unlock which means we have bypassed the activation.
20.At the end of the process, your iPhone
will be jailbroken under firmware version 1.1.1, but you won’t have access to
voice services yet.
21.Slide to unlock your iPhone. You will
see the “Installer” icon on your home screen. Tap it.
22.Tap “Install” at the bottom of the
screen, then tap “Tweaks 1.1.1″
23.Scroll down to a package called “OktoPrep” and tap it, then tap the “Install” button in the upper-right corner.
24.In iTunes, select your iPhone from the
source lift on the left-hand side. If it prompts you to restore your iPhone from
backup, you can do so (by pressing the “Continue” button), after which your
iPhone will reboot and again try (and fail) to activate.
25.With your iPhone selected on the
left-hand pane, click the “Summary” button a the top of the window. You will see
a message stating “A newer version of the iPhone software is available (1.1.2).
[…]” Click the Update button (not Restore). Your iPhone should receive the 1.1.2
update, and eventually activate in iTunes.
If you find the firmware is not the 1.1.2, Please Stop the updating immediately,
and try this: If you are using a Mac, Hold down the OPTION key then click
“Update.” If you are on a Windows system, Hold down the SHIFT key then click
“Update.” Select the 1.1.2 package you just downloaded.
26.[At the end of the process, you might
see an error message indicating that the iPhone could not be restored because of
an “Error 1602″ or similar. If so, follow the instructions in this
Knowledge
Base article to re-install iTunes. You then, unfortunately, have to start the
process all over again.]
27.After the installation of firmware
1.1.2, Installer will vanish from your iPhone — this is normal.
28.Go back to the folder you downloaded
from Conceited Software and again run the jailbreak.jar file on a Mac or the
windows.bat file on a Windows system. This time, check the “Install SSH option”
then press the “Jailbreak” button. This process takes several minutes — do not
perform any other operations on your iPhone during this process
29.Your iPhone will reboot several times. Don’t press any buttons on the device until you’re done The Installer application should now be on your screen and the iPhone should properly activate.
30. If you find you can not dial any
number from your keypad, and you can only call directly from your contacts. or can't receive SMS or hard to get called if the iphone on sleep mode
or some problem strange. You should try to install iWorld.app. This soft will
help you to use the iPhone out of USA. Please download the iWorld by
Google search.
